Welcome to CarbonCooking the Exhibition. This virtual, interactive exhibition is a collaboration between CarbonCooking and the FoodMuseum.
The central theme of this exhibition is the element carbon (C), the elemental backbone of life. An element with a negative connotation. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a molecule we have all heard of. It has been forming problems for decades now, but it is also crucial for all life on earth.
This exhibition exists out of three rooms.
The first room, the CarbonRoom, speaks about carbon as an element, and carbon as a problem.
It introduces us to natural cycles and polluting industries.
When entering the second space, the CharredRoom, you learn about a whole other side of carbon. Carbon as a taste maker.
This room connects taste back to environmental problems.
The CharredRoom introduces us to CarbonCooking: a technique to use ingredients that have passed their prime time.
The third and final space is where everything comes together. CarbonCooking the Restaurant proves that this technique can work on a bigger scale. This space offers you a chance to experience the unique flavours of CarbonCooking.
In this space you can also take a look at our menu; the publication of the exhibition. Download a free online version by clicking on it.
CarbonCooking wishes you an inspiring visit.
